The Chicago White Sox lost their 4th straight game Friday night as Cleveland came up winners 8-2.
The Guardinas put the game away in the 5th inning by scoring 5 runs. Angel Martinez had a grand slam home run in the inning.
Steven Kwan also had a solo home run for Cleveland.
Parker Messick pitched 7 innings to pick up his 9th win.
The White Sox had solo home runs by Braden Montgomery and Munetaka Murakami.
Chicago now leads the AL Central Division by 2 games over Cleveland and Minnesota.
Game 2 in the series is Saturday night at Rate Field.
