The Chicago White Sox rattled off 18 hits during a 15-2 win over the Minnesota Twins from Rate Field. The Southsiders scored five runs in both the fifth and seventh innings.
Munetaka Murakami and Chase Meidroth each went deep, while David Sandlin earned his first win after allowing one run on one hit in six innings. The Sox are in second place in the AL Central at 28-and-27.
Byron Buxton and Kody Clemens homered in the losing effort. Connor Prielipp was charged with his third loss after surrendering six runs on eight hits in four-and-a-third innings. The Twins dropped to 27-and-29.
The series ends this afternoon at Rate Field.
