OREGON – The 2024 planting season is underway, and drivers traveling rural roads should be on the lookout for slow-moving farm equipment. Farmers will often pull to the side of the road to allow vehicles to pass, but this is not always possible when the shoulder of the road is soft, wet or too steep. Drivers should slow down when approaching farming equipment, and leave them plenty of space. Also be aware that farmers may be turning into fields that may not have well defined entrances, so be extra careful when attempting to pass.
