(Phoenix, AZ) — UCLA has won its first women’s basketball NCAA title. The Bruins beat South Carolina 79-51 on Sunday to capture the championship, capping off a near-perfect 37-1 season.
The 28-point margin of victory was the third-largest in a Division One women’s championship final.
Center Lauren Betts was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player after the game.
