U.S. Attorney’s Office in Illinois Collects Over $100 Million in 2024

CHICAGO — The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois collected more than $100 million in criminal, civil, and asset forfeiture actions during fiscal year 2024. The collections included $23.9 million in criminal actions, $6.4 million in civil actions, and $70.4 million in asset forfeitures. The office also worked with other U.S. Attorney’s Offices to recover an additional $62.2 million. The funds support the federal treasury and provide restitution to victims of federal crimes.
