Two Charged In Hit And Run Involving Rockford Police Van

ROCKFORD –  Two people are charged in a hit and run involving a Rockford Police van. Police say the police van was hit last Thursday by another vehicle at South 5th Street and First Avenue.   Two people exited the suspect vehicle and left the scene.  With the help of a Rockford Police K-9, officers located Steve Schorer and Paige Russo.  Schorer is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, while Russo faces charges of Failure to Remain at the Scene of an Accident and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.
