Two Charged In 2011 Murder Of Natasha Cleary, Two Sons In Rockford

ROCKFORD –  Two men are charged in a 2011 triple homicide in Rockford.  Rockford authorities announced that Katonka Friar and Taurean Thomas have been charged with the killings of Natasha Cleary and her two sons.  Cleary, 12-year-old Marquwon Owens and 2-year-old Katarion Friar were found shot to death in April 2011 after crews responded to a fire at their house on Canterbury Lane.  Their bodies were badly burned.  Katonka Friar is Cleary’s ex-husband.  He and Thomas face charges of murder, aggravated arson and concealment of a homicide.
