DIXON — On Saturday afternoon the Lee County Sheriff’s Office reportedly responded to a burglary in progress near Route 30 and Walton Road in rural Dixon. Deputies arrived and arrested 46-year-old Thomas E. Ulve and 30-year-old Mariann C. Poff, both of Rock Falls, after they were allegedly seen entering and exiting a garage on the property. Ulve faces multiple charges, including burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, and driving with a revoked license. He also reportedly has outstanding warrants for retail theft and contempt of court. Poff is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license. Both individuals were released with a notice to appear.
