Traffic Shift Begins on I-88 for Bridge Repairs in DeKalb

DEKALB – Westbound traffic on the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) over the Union Pacific Railroad in DeKalb will shift to the eastbound side overnights, with both directions reduced to one lane through late fall. The shift allows repair work on the westbound side, including bridge deck, joint, and pavement repairs. Once completed, traffic will shift again to the westbound side for similar work on the eastbound lanes. Electronic signs and construction alerts will keep drivers informed, and a 45 mph speed limit will be enforced in the work zone.
