Three State Representatives Receive Friend of Agriculture Award

DEKALB — State Reps. Tony McCombie, Jeff Keicher and Brad Fritts were recognized as Friends of Agriculture by the Illinois Farm Bureau during an agriculture roundtable at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. The annual event brought together farmers and agricultural leaders to discuss how state policies affect agriculture across northwest Illinois. Berkeley Boehne, president of the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, presented the awards, which recognize lawmakers for their voting records and support of agriculture related legislation. The lawmakers have hosted the agriculture roundtable for the past three years to maintain discussions with local farm leaders.
