Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Oregon, Illinois

OREGON — Ogle County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of South Illinois Route 2 near Oregon. A southbound vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Mt. Morris man failed to yield while turning left and was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by a 29-year-old Amboy man. The Mt. Morris man’s vehicle overturned in a ditch. Both drivers and a 26-year-old passenger from Mt. Morris sustained minor injuries. The Mt. Morris man was cited for failure to yield, driving without insurance, and expired registration. Deputies were assisted by Illinois DNR, IDOT, and Oregon Fire/EMS.
