Known for their soulful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics, the Burney Sisters have made a name for themselves in the indie-folk scene. The duo, consisting of sisters Emma and Bella Burney, blends folk, rock, and Americana into a unique sound that appeals to fans of all ages. Their music is influenced by both classic artists like The Avett Brothers and Bonnie Raitt, as well as modern performers such as Madison Cunningham and HAIM.
Emma Burney’s musical talents on piano, violin, guitar, and cello pair with Bella Burney’s basslines, creating a rich and versatile sound. Their music explores themes of love, resilience, and self-discovery, often resonating with listeners on a personal level. Over the past eight years, the sisters have performed across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, continually evolving both musically and artistically.
In April 2024, the Burney Sisters relocated to Huntsville, Alabama, to immerse themselves in the local music scene. Inspired by nearby musical hubs like Muscle Shoals and Nashville, they continue to grow as artists while connecting with fellow musicians.
