SPRINGFIELD – The tax filing deadline is quickly approaching. The Illinois Department of Revenue is reminding taxpayers that April 15th is the deadline to file 2024 state individual income tax returns. The agency began accepting and processing individual income tax returns on January 27th. Taxpayers are encouraged to file electronically and choose direct deposit in order to ensure the fastest processing and issuing of any refunds.
