Study Ranks Illinois Worst in U.S. for Affordable Summer Road Trips

CHICAGO – A new study ranks Illinois as the worst state in the contiguous U.S. for an affordable summer road trip. Dunhill Travel placed Illinois 48 out of 48 due mainly to the state’s high gas prices and lodging costs. The report ranked Mississippi as the best state for an affordable road trip, followed by Arkansas and North Carolina.
