Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Byron Using License Plate Reader System

BYRON  — A stolen vehicle from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was recovered in Byron earlier this month after a license plate alert was detected by the city’s newly operational Flock Safety camera system. All four cameras are now active and recently helped officers quickly locate the vehicle that was allegedly being driven by a man who claimed to have legally purchased it in Springfield, Missouri, under questionable circumstances. The case is now tied to a legal hearing in Tulsa to determine the rightful owner and remains under investigation.
