Sterling Woman Arrested for DUI After Crash Near Oregon

OREGON — A 22-year-old Sterling woman was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence Friday evening after a two-vehicle crash in the 1700 block of West Illinois Route 64 near Oregon. Ogle County deputies said the woman was driving westbound around 6:20 p.m. when her car struck an eastbound SUV, continued into a ditch, hit a utility pole, and overturned in a field. She was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane usage, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was treated for unknown injuries at OSF St. Katharine’s Hospital and released with a notice to appear. Oregon Police, Mount Morris Fire, and Oregon Fire assisted at the scene.
