KINGS – The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the vandalism at Clearly Custom Motorcycle Service in Kings, where a racial slur and threat was spray-painted on the business property last weekend. Sheriff Brian VanVickle said the shop’s security cameras were not working at the time, and investigators have been canvassing the neighborhood for any leads. He also noted that Ogle County does not have a big crime problem
“I think that we live in a very safe community and for the most part, people give the benefit of the doubt to the people that they see on the street or out at night,” he said. “But I would just caution people that if they see something strange or out of the ordinary, they probably should report it.”
With no solid leads yet, VanVickle urged the public to come forward if they have any information.
