Second Rebuild I-39 Open House Set for Tuesday in Rockford

ROCKFORD – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will host an open house on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at CherryVale Mall to update the public on the Rebuild Interstate 39 project. The meeting will provide information on the construction progress of the I-39/U.S. 20 and Harrison Avenue interchange conversion to a diverging diamond interchange. Attendees can ask questions, view project displays, and provide feedback. The meeting is accessible to individuals with disabilities, and all event materials will be posted online after the event. The Rebuild I-39 project is a $302 million effort set for completion in 2026.
