OREGON — Ogle County highway officials will begin enforcing seasonal weight postings on certain county roadways at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, due to annual freeze and thaw cycles that soften road surfaces. Signs will be erected Tuesday on affected highways, and the restrictions typically last three to six weeks depending on weather conditions. Updates on county highway postings are available on the Ogle County Highway Department website. Road commissioners are not required to follow the county schedule and may post load restrictions on roadways under their jurisdiction as they see fit.
