KINGSTON – The Fox Valley Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and the General John Stark Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold two grave marking ceremonies Saturday, Oct. 17, in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary. The first ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at Kingston Cemetery, 210 N. Hunter Road, honoring James Watkins Whitney and Nathan Stuart. A second ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, 615 N. First Street, in DeKalb, honoring Clark Levi Barber. The ceremonies will include brief remarks from the DeKalb County History Center and formally mark the graves of patriot sons, daughters and grandchildren. DAR members and the public are invited to attend.
