Rockford Man Sentenced 57 Years In 2020 Murder

ROCKFORD –  A 32-year-old man is being sentenced to 57 years in prison for murdering a woman in Rockford in 2020.  Brandon Taylor received the sentence after he was convicted in the killing of Tammy Gonzalez.  Prosecutors say Taylor was one of four people to commit a home invasion in the 13-hundred block of 15th Avenue.  Later, one of the suspects shot and killed Gonzalez as she was driving.  Several people were charged in the incident.
