Rochelle’s Erin Murphy is currently in second place in the shot put competition at the Girls Class 2A Track & Field State Final Meet being held at Eastern Illinois University.
Erin’s best throw on Friday was 37 feet, 6.76 inches.
The top mark came in at 38 feet, 2 inches.
The Finals in the shot put will take place on Saturday.
