Rochelle junior Andrew Nuyen competed Saturday in the pole vault event at the New Balance Nationals in Boston.
Nuyen finished in 25th place as he cleared 14 feet, 11 inches.
He missed his attempt at 15 feet, 5 inches.
Andrew is the defending champion of the state indoor meet later this month in Bloomington.
