ROCHELLE – The Rochelle VFW Auxiliary Gardens on 8th Avenue are getting ready for the spring season, with volunteers scheduled to begin prepping the plots tomorrow, Saturday, April 19th. Recent rain had delayed some of the tilling, but organizers are now moving full speed ahead. Returning participants will have first access to the garden plots, which will then open to the public. The garden features 100 plots, each measuring 20 by 30 feet, available for $20. Proceeds go toward scholarships for Rochelle High School seniors.
