ROCHELLE — A blood drive is being held today from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Rochelle VFW, 318 Fourth Ave. The Rock River Valley Blood Center is collecting donations to supply hospitals across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. A single whole blood donation can be separated into components that may help as many as three patients.
Maggie Anderson, donor recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said there is an ongoing need for donations from eligible donors.
“If you are able to donate, we hope you will consider giving today. Every donor helps provide blood for patients who need it.”
The blood drive is part of the center’s ongoing effort to maintain the regional blood supply.
