ROCHELLE – Paramedics in Rochelle stepped in to complete a resident’s yard work after she experienced a medical emergency while mowing in the 1000 block of Seventh Street last week. A full four-member shift responded to the call, provided care, and then finished mowing the lawn before leaving the scene. Rochelle Fire Chief Dave Sawlsville said it is something Firefighters and Paramedics often do for residents.
“Honestly, I don’t want to discount what they do because that was a really nice thing to do,” he said. “but we do it frequently, actually.”
