ROCHELLE – Rochelle Municipal Utilities (RMU) has earned the American Public Power Association’s Diamond Safety Award for excellence in safe operating practices in 2024. The award recognizes utilities with the most incident-free records and strong safety programs based on worker-hours and reportable incidents, as defined by OSHA. More than 200 utilities competed in the annual Safety Awards, which APPA has conducted for over 66 years to honor community-owned utilities prioritizing worker and public safety.
