ROCHELLE – Rochelle Mayor John Bearrows has proclaimed today Linemen Appreciation Day to recognize the vital work of linemen in the community. These professionals are responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing the city’s electrical infrastructure, often working in dangerous conditions and harsh weather, sometimes as first responders during storms. Linemen work tirelessly to ensure the safety and reliability of electricity for residents, performing their duties 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Bearrows encouraged residents and businesses to acknowledge and thank the linemen.
“We recognize lineman, utility, profession, and the many contributions of these brave men and women who work tirelessly to provide dependable electricity to our community.,” he said.
