Rochelle Fourth of July Parade Returns With New Registration Requirement

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce is inviting residents, businesses and community groups to take part in the Fourth of July Parade. All participants must pre-register this year, but there is no fee to enter. The Chamber is encouraging entries from the community. The parade begins at 3 p.m. and runs from City Hall to Atwood Park, where food trucks, vendors and fireworks will follow. Rochelle Chamber Executive Director Tricia Herrera said participation is open to all. “There is no fee associated with being in the parade and we want everybody to join us. We want church groups and businesses and kids on decorated bikes and go karts and golf carts and all of the things to be a part of the parade.”

The Rochelle Fourth of July Parade will follow its traditional route from City Hall along Sixth Avenue to Lincoln Highway, then to Lincoln Avenue, north on Ninth Street, west on 10th Avenue and end at Atwood Park.
