ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle City Council last week approved an amendment to Resolution No. R2025-53, confirming that the city placed its 2025-2026 risk insurance directly through the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association, resulting in the waiver of a $50,000 service fee previously proposed by Marsh McLennan Agency. The Council also approved a collective bargaining agreement with the Police Benevolent Labor Committee covering patrol officers, sergeants, and dispatchers through April 30, 2028. The contract includes updated vacation and personal time policies, revised insurance tiers, and wage adjustments designed to keep the city competitive in recruitment and retention. The agreement supports sustainable staffing and operational stability for the Rochelle Police Department.
