Rochelle Council Approves Consignment Agreement for City Vehicle Sales

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle City Council has approved a consignment agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management Inc. for the sale of three city vehicles replaced through the city’s fleet leasing program. City documents state the vehicles include a 2020 Ford F350, a 2011 Ford F150, and a 2016 Ford F150 from the Public Works and Engineering departments. The city began using the Enterprise Fleet Management program in 2020 after approval in 2019, with officials saying it has reduced maintenance costs, improved reliability, and lowered downtime while supporting long term cost savings. Under the agreement, Enterprise Fleet Management will sell the vehicles through multiple resale channels and return proceeds to the city minus a $400 service fee per vehicle, with funds reinvested into the city’s leasing program. City officials said last week the program continues to support fleet replacement and fiscal stability goals.
