Rochelle Approves Bid for Northeast Sewer Lining Project

ROCHELLE – The Rochelle City Council has approved the bid for the Northeast Area Sanitary Sewer Lining Project, awarding the contract to National Power Rodding Corp. with a bid just under $900,000. The project, which includes both grant and non-grant work, will line 14,665 feet of sewer with an additional 2,128 feet added at the same unit price. The total cost of the project is estimated at $1.12 million, with $718,102 allocated from a state grant and the remaining $400,430 covered by the City’s capital fund. The bid came in 24% under the engineer’s estimate.
