Roberts Armory WWII Museum To Open Memorial Day

ROCHELLE — The Roberts Armory WWII Museum will hold a public opening on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. The Higgins Boat will be open for viewing if weather conditions allow. Museum exhibits include World War II tanks, trucks, cannons and Rochelle News Leader newspapers from 1945 featuring local residents who served during World War II. Visitors can follow signs near Route 251 and Intermodal Drive to reach the museum, located about three miles away. There is no admission charge. The museum’s next scheduled opening will be Aug. 15.
