DIXON — Roadway lights on multiple Mississippi River bridges will be shut off later this week. Beginning on Friday, the lights on the Dale Gardner Veterans Memorial Bridge in Carroll County and Gateway Bridge in Whiteside County will be turned off. The shutoff is designed to reduce the number of mayflies on the bridge pavement. The lights will be turned back on September 22nd.
