SYCAMORE — The Sycamore Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Ribs, Rhythm and Brews Fest on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Somonauk and Elm streets in downtown Sycamore. The free event will feature four award winning rib vendors competing for the RR&B Fest Champion title, along with craft beer, food and live music from The Fever Cats, DJ Kris from Behind the Beats and InFunktious. This year’s rib vendors are Dirty Bird, Slow Smoke Barbecue, Beach Avenue Barbecue and newcomer Chow Haul Smokehouse. Chamber Chief Executive Officer RoseMarie Treml said the festival has become a favorite community tradition since it began after the Chamber’s Block Party that started in 2003.
“ It’s always the fourth Saturday in August, and it’s one of our favorite days of the year. We’ve been doing actual Ribs, Rhythm and Brews since 2015. This year, we’re shaking it up a little. It’ll be fun. It’s kind of a surprise, so you’ll just have to wait. People will have to come over and take a look and see what we have,” Treml said.
Organizers said tables and chairs will be available for guests to enjoy food, drinks and music throughout the evening.
