Pritzker Calls For Cell Phone Ban In Illinois Classrooms

SPRINGFIELD – Governor Pritzker is calling for a ban on cell phones in Illinois classrooms.  The governor proposed legislation that would require all public school districts in Illinois to adopt a wireless communication device policy that limits the use of personal devices during class instruction time.  The proposal includes several exceptions like in the event of an emergency, or when a teacher or instructor has authorized the student to use a wireless communication device for educational purposes.
