Power Rate Increase Expected In June

CHICAGO  —   ComEd customers will see a ten-dollar increase in their electric bill next month.  Utility officials say they will not profit from the price hike, but Citizens Utility Board spokesman Jim Chilsen says big power companies that sell power to ComEd are making a huge profit.  Electric bills are expected to increase again in October.  CUB has launched CubHelpCenter.com, which provides consumer tips on how to manage spiking utility rates during the summer.
