Polo Public Library Blood Drive Today

POLO — A blood drive is being held today from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Polo Public Library, 302 W. Mason St. The Rock River Valley Blood Center is collecting donations to help supply area hospitals and meet the ongoing need for blood products. Each whole blood donation can be separated into red blood cells, plasma and platelets and may help as many as three patients.

Maggie Anderson, donor recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said every donor helps strengthen the regional blood supply.

“There is a constant need for blood donations in our area. If you are eligible, consider giving today and helping a patient in need.”

The blood center serves hospitals across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
