The Pittsburgh Pirates scored a run in the top of the 10th inning on Friday as they beat the Chicago Cubs by the score of 2-1.

The Pirates scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly.

Both teams scored their first run in the 8th inning.

Pittsburgh on a throwing error while the Cubs crossed home plate on a fielder’s choice.

Seiya Suzuki had 2 of the 8 hits for the Cubs. Drew Pomeranz took the loss in relief.

Game 3 in the series is Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
