Oregon Teacher Named 2026 Illinois Teacher of the Year Cohort Member

OREGON — Courtney Gaulrapp, an elementary teacher at Oregon Elementary School, has been named a member of the 2026 Illinois Teacher of the Year Cohort by the Illinois State Board of Education. The annual Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards recognize educators, administrators, and school staff who make significant contributions in classrooms and communities across the state. Gaulrapp joins 13 other cohort members representing a range of subjects, grade levels, and specializations including bilingual, early childhood, and special education. The awards highlight dedication, leadership, and service, and all honorees will be celebrated at the Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Banquet on April 18.
