Oregon Police Remind Residents of City Ordinance on Yard Items

OREGON – The Oregon Police Department is reminding residents that it is against city ordinance to place furniture or household items in yards or terraces, with the exception of items set out for pickup after 3:00 p.m. the day before scheduled collection. The ordinance prohibits the storage, placement, or leaving of building materials, appliances, furniture, machinery, equipment, or other similar items outside of homes in a way that could affect the neighborhood’s appearance or property values. The rule does not apply to building materials or equipment on residential lots with an active building permit.
