OREGON – The City of Oregon Police Department has promoted Officer Eric Higby to the rank of sergeant. Higby, who joined the department in 2023, brings over 27 years of law enforcement experience, including 13 years as a police chief. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has completed staff command training. Since joining the Oregon department, he has played a key role in training new officers.
