Oregon Man Charged After Reported Domestic Disturbance in Oregon

OREGON — A 33-year-old Oregon man remains in the Ogle County Jail following a reported domestic disturbance that allegedly involved gunfire and possibly explosives.The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office said residents near Indian Heights Drive and Fawn Ridge Circle in Oregon called 911 around 4 p.m. Thursday and gunshots were reported while the caller was on the line. Deputies responded to the home and took a suspect into custody. Jail records show Alec H. Rutherford was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, and possession of explosives or an explosive or incendiary device. He remains jailed pending a pretrial hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
