OREGON – Oregon will be considering the purchase of a 2025 Ford F-150 squad car and necessary equipment, not to exceed $75,000. The decision, made by the city council, includes funds for the vehicle as well as lights, cameras, and other required equipment. Two options were presented by City Manager Darin DeHaan, one from a dealership in Greenfield, Illinois and another from Matteson, Illinois, which were each part of a bid program from state or regional entities. Money for the purchase will be made available from the DUI fund and capital vehicle fund.
