OREGON – The City of Oregon has launched a policy to regulate its digital sign, which will be used to share community events, public announcements, and messages from local government and nonprofits. Oregon City Manager Darin DeHaan said the sign is not allowed for commercial, political, or offensive content.
“So I don’t see this sign being utilized for a company advertising openings, those types of things, but certainly any nonprofits, local organizations that have events, we want to have them up there,” he said.
Eligible users must submit requests 10 business days in advance for approval. Priority will be given to city-related messages and emergencies.
