One Way Traffic Begins on Lincoln Highway in Rochelle

ROCHELLE — The 400 block of Lincoln Highway in downtown Rochelle has been converted to one way traffic from north to south as part of an effort to create additional parking for businesses along the block. City officials said the change took effect Monday morning and is expected to remain in place through early fall. Parking lots located behind the businesses are now closed, making the added street parking available to customers and visitors. Officials are asking motorists to follow the new traffic pattern and continue supporting downtown businesses during the temporary change.
