ROCHELLE – Rob Olszewski was presented with the 2025 Pat Kasmar Award last Saturday for his outstanding dedication to the Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District and the greater Rochelle area. Olszewski joined the district in 2022 and completed multiple certifications, including EMT Basic, Basic Operations Fire Academy and Hazardous Materials Operations, within his first year. He serves at both the Flagg Center and Hillcrest Stations and brings nearly 20 years of experience as a 911 dispatcher, recently earning Dispatcher of the Year. Outside of emergency services, he coaches youth sports and is known for his commitment to training, teamwork and compassion. The Pat Kasmar Award is given annually in recognition of exceptional service and is named in honor of the late mother of Board Member Rick Kasmar.
