Ogle County Officials: No Threat to Public in Ongoing Death Investigation

OREGON – The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed there is no danger to the public following the discovery of a deceased person on March 7th in the 4000 block of E IL Route 64 in rural Oregon, Illinois. Authorities have conducted search warrants, interviews, and an autopsy, but the cause of death remains undetermined pending toxicology results and further evidence review. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit, the Illinois Fire Marshal’s Office, the Ogle County Coroner’s Office, and the Peoria County Medical Examiner.
