Ogle County Launches Leasing Program to Cut Vehicle Costs

OREGON –  Ogle County officials will be making a move to lease vehicles instead of buying them, a plan expected to save more than $400,000 over ten years. The proposed change would update the county’s aging fleet and reduce repair costs. Enterprise Fleet Management presented the program, which includes maintenance, on Tuesday night. Ogle County currently has nearly 30 non-police vehicles, with many of those being over 10 years old. Enterprise currently works with the City of Rochelle and a number of government entities across the state. The motion passed unanimously.
