ROCHELLE – The Ogle County Health Department will host their third annual Community Baby Shower, set for Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Rochelle office. This free event, open to all families in the community, will provide essential infant and maternity supplies, including diapers, wipes, clothing, and care products. Attendees can also enjoy giveaways, raffle baskets, and a community health and service fair, featuring local organizations offering valuable resources. Public Health Nurse Tarah Ziegler said the event’s focus is on helping new and expecting parents get a jumpstart on the supplies they need.
“So we have quite a few community organizations that are planning to have a booth at the event. There’ll be giveaways and they’ll be providing information and resources about their services,” she said.
Below is a list of everything offered the day of the event:
• FREE infant and maternity products (diapers, wipes, care products, clothing)
• Raffle baskets, giveaways, refreshments

Wellness on Wheels mobile unit will be available for the following free services
• Blood pressure check
• Cholesterol screening
• HIV and hepatitis C testing
• Sexually transmitted infection testing
• Narcan training and distribution
